After aerospace and defense, the Durnstein Center for Science and Medicine is best known for its healthcare products, services, and innovation. Brought to the forefront through Biological Engineering and Research (BEAR) and the International Medical Center (IMC), DCSM leads the way in finding treatments, cures, devices, and supplies in the medical field -- as well as being a leader in the training of the next generation of doctors, nurses, innovators, and researchers.
Since the 1970s, DCSM has heavily contributed to finding cures and treatments for cancers, diabetes, HIV, MS, and more; it has lead the way in pacemaker, prosthetic, and biological technology -- positioning itself with industry giants like Fresenius, CardinalHealth, and Medtronic.
