Having been around since 1930, the Durnstein Center for Science and Medicine has developed lasting relationships with dozens of major corporations, prestigious institutions, and an array of small businesses across the country. Every day, we rely heavily our our partners in garnering success and innovation, and each day, we look forward to gaining new liaisons across every field.
The heart of Durnstein’s economic development strategy is listening to our partners, seeking out industries rather than making them come to us, and aligning our strategies with the nation’s economic priorities. Our education, research, and technology transfer programs support current industries and create new ones – including advanced materials, automotive engineering, biotechnology, energy systems, and high performance computing. Our collaborative research with industry has distinguished Durnstein as a leader in commercially relevant research and engaged educational experiences. Our best and brightest faculty and students work as entrepreneurs alongside industry partners to solve problems, accelerate new technologies to market, and acquire the knowledge to create a skilled workforce for emerging and advanced technology industries.
