USACE AWARDS DURNSTEIN CENTER FOR SCIENCE AND MEDICINE EMERGENCY CONTRACT

Durnstein Center for Science and Medicine (DCSM) announces that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has awarded the firm with a new emergency contract to continue performing armed security guard services at the Humphrey’s Engineering Center (HEC) in Alexandria, VA.

DCSM was the incumbent contractor and will perform operations for HEC for another base period of 10 months. DCSM personnel provide 24/7 armed security guard protection services for a high level cleared facility at USACE HEC. Durnstein provides security protection via roving patrols, access/visitor control, surveillance camera and alarm monitoring, and emergency assistance support. DCSM provides a highly-trained guard unit and was able to continue operations without a break in service for USACE HEC.

Durnstein Center for Science and Medicine was awarded contracts via an emergency award, invitation-only negotiations process. The contracts include a base period valued at over $800,000. DCSM has a long-standing history of providing professional security services to the military and the federal government. DCSM is proud to partner again with USACE on this sensitive requirement.
